Maison Lillet’s Commitments
Welcome to the committed world of Maison Lillet, where sustainability and responsibility are at the core of our actions.
Wines entering Lillet’s crafting process originate from the southwest of France. Lillet progressively implements sustainable viticultural practices policies (notably HEV-1 and Terra Vitis-2).
1.High Environmental Value referential is based on indicators relating to biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, fertilization and irrigation management.
2.Terra Vitis is a label ensuring good environmental, social and economical practices.
In November 2022, Lillet trained two of its major partnering vineyards on regenerative vine-growing techniques.
Since 2018, Lillet also fosters sustainable vineyards installation through 10-year vine planting contracts with local growers.
All oak vats are made in France and sourced from NFO-supervised forests (National Forestry Office, ensuring sustainable monitoring of forest lands). Stainless steel vats are also made in France from materials sourced from European countries.
Since 2021, all wines are transported with tankers fuelled with bioethanol. The latter is sourced from regional wine production’s waste. It is refined in the same region as the production site.
After being used for the infusions, 100% fruits are composted less than 10km away from the production site.
The production of one Lillet bottle requires 51% less water and 50% less energy than 4 years ago (FY21 vs FY17). 100% energy comes from renewable sources. Maison Lillet is ISO 14001 certified (environment management).

… to fostering women self-expression & advocating for diversity in society …
Lillet has laways puts women at the heart of the brand essence, and continues to do so today as it engages them through ‘Les Ateliers Lillet’, a forum for women growth, where they can encourage one another and boost their confidence together, fostering a sense of sisterhood.
